About the Art: This sculpture is of a grandmother and her grandchildren sitting on a couch looking at the family album. It is a reminder of the importance or learning about our family, ancestors, history and to spend time with our elders and the storytellers. In this age of digital photos, social media, and screens, knowing who we are, where we come from, the struggles and triumphs of those who came before us give us a sense of self. This piece was inspired by my mother who was the great storyteller in my life.
